On some sites you visit, you may have seen a small logo called [verisign], this means that the site is secure and you can use your credit card safely. Using this system is about as safe as it can get when using your details online although no method is eve guaranteed completely secure. If potential customers get the impression you are doing everything to make their purchase secure then they are more likely to buy from you.
If you are shopping online, there is something you should remember. Not every site that will accept you credit card is safe. The verisign logo helps and it is a good place to start but it is not the only thing you should look for. A secure web site has the address https:// and not the usual http:// when you look at the address bar in your browser.
